The CMO GC Damper contains a gate which moves longitudinally and a peripheral sealing system that stops gas leakage at any point during the gate’s movement. Its thick, mechanically welded carbon steel or stainless steel body is reinforced to maintain structural integrity. A screwed-down cover seals the upper section of the body, creating a hermetic interior chamber.

For even greater seal-tightness, wedges are welded on the inside of the body to push the gate against the seal. The standard seal-tightness of 98.5–99.5% can be increased to 100% with special modifications using a dual gate system and air injection.

The damper allows continuous flow with minimal load loss when open. It’s also resistant to high temperatures and deterioration.

The CMO GC Damper is used to isolate a wide range of air and gases and allow pipeline inspection, maintenance, and repair.
