The Powergenex SS5 Valve Positioner uses a hybrid HART communication protocol that simultaneously uses a 4–20mA analog signal and digital signal. Its special feature is a fail-freeze function that keeps the valve at the last position in the event of a power or pneumatic air supply failure.

This compact digital valve positioner can be used on both single or double acting actuators without needing further adjustments. It’s also capable of detecting whether the valve is reverse acting or direct acting despite wrong air connections.

This auto-calibrating positioner responds quickly and provides diagnostics for performance failures. It’s available with a NAMUR standard mount and various mounting brackets for rotary valves.
