Jindal SAW’s Ductile Polyurethane-Lined (DIPU) Pipe conforms to the standards for ductile iron pipes for water pipelines set out in ISO 2531. With a polyurethane lining that is 700–2000 micron thick, DIPU pipes are designed to handle the most aggressive types of water.

Due to its higher abrasion and chemical resistance, polyurethane lining is specified for applications where cement mortar lining isn’t suitable, including very soft water and mineral water. Polyurethane lining provides better protection from highly abrasive or soft water than cement mortar.

This is complemented by the excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, deformation, and fatigue of ductile iron.
